The E30 is straight lines and right angles, which after bright colour is the most useful property a car can have on a child's t-shirt. Nothing is lost when it is printed at 8cm across.

It is also the closest thing here to a car a child might see on an actual road. Not a supercar, not a rally special — a square saloon with the arches let out, which makes it far easier to point at something roughly similar in a car park.
It was also, briefly, just a saloon — which is why an E30 on a toddler reads as less absurd than a Ferrari on one.

The light blue needs a dark ground to have any presence at all; on a pale hoodie this car more or less disappears, which is not a problem the red or yellow cars have. Black and blue are both available. Pullover cut, toddler sizes 1 to 6 years, kids sizes to around 14.

As with the hoodie, the darker the ground the better this particular car looks on it. Construction is the usual: side seams, double hems and taped shoulder and neck bands, in baby sizes from 0 to 24 months and kids sizes from 1 to 12 years.

The E30's flat front and square headlights keep their shape at this size better than any of the curved cars manage — four sizes from 0 to 18 months, short or long sleeve. A small consolation, given that none of it is currently for sale.
