The 993 is long, low and horizontal, and that decides more about where it hangs than any question of taste. It wants a wide gap: above a desk, over a sideboard, along a hallway.
Put it in a tall narrow space and it floats in the middle looking marooned. That is a proportion problem rather than a picture problem, and it applies here more than to the other five because this drawing is the widest of the six relative to its height.
The upside is that a wide horizontal gap is exactly the shape most rooms have going spare.
Porsche 993 Posters
The 3/16 inch white border is on every poster, and on this car it is doing something specific — it extends the horizontal line of the composition, so a wide gap ends up looking deliberately filled rather than merely occupied.

Porsche 993 Framed Art Prints
Frame colours are matte white, off white, black and bright white. This is the one car in the range that takes a white frame comfortably: the green is dark enough to hold against it, and the result is quieter than black, which suits it.

- Small – 12 x 8 in or 30.5 x 20.3 cm
- Medium – 18 x 12 in or 45.7 x 30.5 cm
- Medium – 24 x 16 in or 61 x 40.7 cm
Frame styles:
- Box frame – 20mm wide x 40mm deep
- Flat frame – 30mm wide x 20mm deep

Porsche 993 Art Prints
The framed print above, without the frame. Same image, and the moulding is your call.
The 993 is the quietest drawing in the range — a front-on portrait, round headlights, that gently sloping nose, in a soft green rather than a shouting one. It does not need a heavy frame and it does not need to be large; a small one on a shelf or a desk works as well as anything on a wall.
If it is going somewhere the rest of the household also sits, this is the print from the range most likely to survive the negotiation.
Sizes:
- Small – 16 x 12 in or 40.6 x 30.5 cm
- Medium – 20 x 16 in or 50.8 x 40.6 cm
- Large – 24 x 18 in or 61 x 45.7 cm
- Extra Large – 32 x 24 in or 81.3 x 61 cm
Porsche 993 Photographic Prints
Silver halide, archival paper, luster or metallic. Luster is right here — the fine pebble texture suits a car made of large calm areas of one colour, where metallic would add a drama the 993 has never asked for.
Sizes:
- Small – 12 x 8 in or 30.5 x 20.3 cm
- Medium – 18 x 12 in or 45.7 x 30.5 cm
- Large – 24 x 16 in or 61 x 40.7 cm
- Extra Large – 30 x 20 in or 76.2 x 50.8 cm

Porsche 993 Canvas Or Wood Mounted Prints
The canvas hangs on a wooden spacer, standing slightly proud of the wall. It is the format that flatters a horizontal composition best, because the shadow underneath draws a second line along the bottom of the print.
Sizes:
- 8.5 x 10.5 in or 22 x 27 cm
- Medium – 13 x 16 in or 33 x 41 cm
- Large – 14.8 x 18 or 38 x 46 cm

How ordering works
HartCar is one person with an interest in cars. As a permanent traveler it is difficult to maintain stock and ship orders because I am never in one place for too long. Therefore I use a third party print on demand service to create and ship each item. Your order will be securely processed on their website. This also makes it ideal if you would like something customised such as a different colour car, background or maybe a stripe or two. If this sounds like something you may be interested in, please get in touch.
