Somewhere in the back of a school exercise book, in about 1991, most of us drew this car. Badly, in biro, proportions wrong, the engine louvres reduced to five straight lines.
There is a certain symmetry in it turning up on a notebook thirty years later, drawn properly this time.
Paper suits the rear-view F40 better than you might expect. It is flat, graphic and almost symmetrical, so it sits on a cover the way a printed design should rather than like a photograph dropped onto one.
