The E30 is the only car on this site somebody might once have owned more or less by accident. A Ferrari on a wall is aspiration. An M3 is closer to a memory of a car that was genuinely on the roads, in traffic, in a colour not far off this one.

That is a different feeling to hang up, and it is worth knowing which of the two you are buying.
It is also the most graphic drawing in the range — flat panels, hard edges, four round lights in a row — which is why it holds together at poster size without needing a frame to lend it authority.
BMW M3 Posters
185gsm semi gloss with the 5mm white border. The E30's hard edges are why a poster works here where it can look thin with softer subjects: there is no fine gradient to lose, so the paper is never asked to do anything it cannot.

A box frame is 20mm wide and 40mm deep, a flat frame 30mm wide and 20mm deep. The flat frame is the one — the M3 is a rectangle of straight lines, and a deep box around it only adds a second rectangle to look at.

The E30 artwork is all straight lines: the twin kidney grille, the four round headlights, the flat front splitter. It is the most graphic drawing in the range and the one that looks most deliberate in a plain black frame, or in none at all — pinned flat it passes for something from a design shop rather than car merchandise.
Light blue against a white ground also keeps it calm enough for a room that is not a garage, which is not true of every car here.

Silver halide onto archival quality paper, so it holds its colour instead of shifting over years on a lit wall. Worth caring about with the pale blue, which has the furthest to fade of any car in the range.

Six millimetre birch ply with rounded corners for the wood mounted version, grain visible through the print — or canvas on a spacer if you would rather it floated. Both fix with 3M tabs, so neither needs a hole in the wall.
